Educational Media Foundation Picks Up Stations in Columbus, OH And Pittsburgh

In Columbus, EMF has acquired 102.5 WKVR Baltimore, OH, from the Southeastern Ohio Broadcasting System for a reported $2,060,000.

Educational Media Foundation (EMF) has acquired two new stations, one in Columbus, Ohio, and one in Pittsburgh.

In Columbus, EMF has acquired 102.5 WKVR Baltimore, OH, from the Southeastern Ohio Broadcasting System for a reported $2,060,000. Following the conclusion of its Local Marketing Agreement (LMA) with Radio-One, EMF began operating the station, previously known as WWLG, on November 1. This transition brings the “K-Love” Christian Adult Contemporary network to the local market.

EMF also acquired a second full-market signal in the Pittsburgh area, purchasing 103.5 WOGH in Burgettstown, PA, from Forever Media for $800,000. This station will enhance coverage throughout the western half of the Pittsburgh market and extend into the Wheeling/Steubenville, WV, market.

EMF owns “K-Love” 98.3 WPKV Duquesne and “Air 1” 88.7 W204CT Pittsburgh as well as Gateway Creative Broadcasting’s Christian Hip Hop “Boost Radio,” 97.9 Pittsburgh.
