Week 11 of the college football season goes to the ESPN Networks, which won the three SEC windows on ABC as well as the late window. ABC had the top game of the week which was the primetime matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers. That game drew an average audience of 7.9 million viewers. The game peaked at 9.7 million.
The 3:30 p.m. ET window saw the Ole Miss Rebels upset the Georgia Bulldogs. That game drew an average of 7.4 million viewers. It peaked at 8 million and was the most-watched week 11 afternoon game.
Earlier in the day, the Florida Gators took on the Texas Longhorns, one of the new members of the conference this season. The game drew 3.9 million viewers on average.
Two other games on ESPN Networks drew more than 2 million viewers. The Georgia Tech upsent win over Miami drew 3.5 million viewers to ESPN, making it the best cable audience for a college football game since Week 1. That game peaked at 5.3 million viewers.
The SEC on ABC games this coming weekend will see No. 3 Texas at Arkansas in the 12 p.m. ET window followed by No. 21 LSU at Florida in the afternoon. The night game, set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET will see No. 4 Tennessee at No. 10 Georgia.
