Salem Radio Network host Dennis Prager suffered an injury earlier this week that led to his hospitalization. Fill-in host Carl Jackson updated listeners on Prager’s status Friday.

During The Dennis Prager Show, Jackson told listeners that there was a small update to the situation.

“Dennis is in a local Los Angeles hospital. He is resting up. Keep him in your prayers for a speedy, speedy recovery. I prayed that he would be healed from head to toe. He had a serious and nasty fall, but, by the grace of God, he will be okay. Continue to lift him up and lift his family up, and lift all those that surround him up in your prayers and the doctors and the nurses that are all involved in that healing process. God raises up great people to do great things.”

Carl Jackson called Dennis Prager a “mentor” and a “friend”, adding that the reason he is a news/talk host today is because of the longtime Salem Radio Network host.

“This is the guy that discovered me and put me on the national stage,” said Jackson. “I’m very appreciative of that. I always thank him … Dennis Prager saw some talent and gave me a shot, too. So I really appreciate the guy. He is a good, good man.”

Jackson is the latest host to fill in for Prager this week after his Tuesday fall. Jennifer Horn hosted the program on Tuesday, while Mark Davis, Bob Frantz, and Jackson finished out the remainder of the week. There has yet to be a public update on who will continue to host the show in Dennis Prager’s absence.
