MSNBC is undergoing a slight modification to its lineup, with Ali Vitali being promoted to the host of the Way Too Early program.
Beginning on Monday, January 6th, Vitali will helm the program that begins at 5 AM ET. She will replace Jonathan Lemire, who will see his role increase in the final hour of Morning Joe alongside Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.
“I’m thrilled to join the Way Too Early team, anchoring a show that’s been helmed by some of the smartest reporters in Washington,” Vitali told Variety. “I’ll continue working my sources and bringing viewers into the halls of power with fresh reporting and news-making interviews from Capitol Hill and across Washington.”
Vitali joined NBC News in 2012. During her tenure with the network, she has served as a White House reporter for the company’s digital outlets, while also covering campaigns for Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg during the 2020 Democratic primary.
Additionally, she is the author of the 2022 book “Electable: Why America Hasn’t Put A Woman In the White House…Yet.”
