Cleveland Cavaliers to Simulcast Five Regular-Season Games on Over-the-Air Television

"Airing these upcoming Cavs games on Rock Entertainment Sports and WUAB Channel 43 creates expanded local market access to the team."

Five regular-season games featuring the Cleveland Cavaliers will be simulcast on Rock Entertainment Sports Network and on over-the-air television on WUAB-TV as the team continues its record-setting campaign. Team broadcasts will feature the FanDuel Sports Network Ohio broadcast talent, including play-by-play announcer John Michael, analysts Brad Daughtery and Austin Carr, reporter Serena Winters and host Cayleigh Griffin. The first of these games will air on Monday, Feb. 10 when the league-lading Cavaliers face the Minnesota Timberwolves as the team looks for its first championship since 2016.

“The Cleveland Cavaliers have had one of the most exciting starts to a season in recent memory, and we are committed to providing as many avenues as possible for our fans to enjoy our games and follow the action live,” Mike Conley, executive vice president and chief information officer of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Rock Entertainment Group and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, said in a statement. “Our continued partnership with Gray Media creates an exciting opportunity for us to debut Cavaliers games on Rock Entertainment Sports Network for the first time, as well as over-the-air on WUAB Channel 43 again this season.”

Games will be available throughout the state on Rock Entertainment Sports Network, a joint venture between Rock Entertainment Group and Gray Media that made its debut last August and has produced more than 65 broadcasts with high school, collegiate and professional sports teams. Viewers can also watch the action on WUAB Channel 43 and FanDuel Sports Network, along with WDEM (channel 17.1, Columbus; channel 19.3, Cincinnati). This marks the second year in a row where five Cavaliers games will be broadcast on over-the-air television, albeit the team worked with Tegna and Nexstar last season as well.
