WFAN to Broadcast Tuesday Edition of ‘Evan & Tiki’ Live from Barclays Center Ahead of Knicks-Nets

WFAN is bringing its afternoon drive program on the road this Tuesday, broadcasting a special edition of Evan & Tiki live from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Featuring co-hosts Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber, along with Shaun Morash and Tommy Lugauer, the program will be on site ahead of tip-off between the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks in an intercity rivalry matchup. The Nets will look to snap a three-game losing streak on their home floor, while the Knicks aim to further improve their position in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. Roberts expressed on Monday’s episode of the show that they had not been in Brooklyn in a very long time and that it would be a big night.

In August 2023, Audacy agreed to a multiyear extension with the Nets to broadcast its games over the air on WFAN. This year marks the 21st season the station is serving as the flagship home of games and features the commentary duo of Chris Carrino and Tim Capstraw. Following the conclusion of the Nets-Knicks game on WFAN, Keith McPherson will broadcast his nighttime program until 2 a.m. EST. Roberts and Barber will air their four-hour program from the new JetBlue at the Key club space on the suite level in the arena.

“Late in the show around 5:30 or so, Tiki Barber will pay off his, ‘He wasn’t good at NFL picks this year’ bet by selling T-shirts, or giving them away, of Tommy Lugauer’s very nasty tweet about Jalen Brunson upon the Knicks signing him, in which he called it a very typical Knicks move,” Roberts said. “So that tweet has been made a T-shirt, and we’ve got a few, limited edition, I think like 15 or 20, that you will be able to purchase/get from Tiki Barber right outside Barclays Center.”

Roberts posted an image of the T-shirt on his X account Tuesday morning and promoted the on-site broadcast of the show. Moreover, he added on the show that Barber or Lugauer may decide to autograph the shirt for fans. Nonetheless, the show is giving people an opportunity to interact with the show at Barclays Center as the two Atlantic Division teams square off for the third time this season.

This does not mark the first time Evan & Tiki has broadcast live ahead of a rivalry matchup in New York sports. In two days last August, the program was live from Citi Field in The Cadillac Club at Payson’s for the Subway Series between the New York Mets and the New York Yankees.
