After being one of many news staffers let go from KFI-AM 640 during nationwide cuts from iHeartMedia last year, Steve Gregory is set to join KNX News in Los Angeles.

During his tenure at KFI, Gregory served as a national correspondent for iHeartMedia and an investigative reporter. He won 11 Edward R. Murrow Awards, including three national wins. His 2023 special “He Said, She Said, They Said” — centered on the disconnect between parents and schools on the topic of LGBTQIA+ curriculum — earned KFI a national Murrow Award victory, the first in station history.

Additionally, he hosted Studio 640, a weekend program featuring the opinions of local college students. He also hosted Unsolved, a podcast focused on criminal cases that had gone cold.
