Dan Bernstein, midday host for 670 The Score in Chicago, was off the air this morning following an incident that took place on social media over the weekend. On Thursday, after posting a picture of himself catching a large fish with the caption, “This was a helluva fight,” a follower of Bernstein’s X account claimed the fish he caught was a pregnant northern pike and criticized him for killing it.
This sparked a contentious argument on the platform between Bernstein and the follower over the criticism of the photo. As the exchange escalated, Bernstein, who has been with 670 The Score since 1995, not only threatened the follower to a fight but also potentially doxxed the individual. As a result, it was announced this morning on 670 The Score that Dan Bernstein has the week off.
Bernstein, who co-hosts Bernstein and Harris on The Score, has been involved in public feuds recently. Most notably, he drew the attention of Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy after Barstool Chicago host Eddie Farrer served as a co-host for a show on 670 The Score alongside Matt Spiegel.
Further adding to the fallout, Camp One Step – a charity that provides camp experiences for children battling cancer – announced via social media yesterday that Bernstein had been removed from its board of directors following his comments.
This decision prompted former 670 The Score personality and current FS1 host Danny Parkins to share his thoughts on the charity’s move. Bernstein has been a major supporter of the organization for many years, making the announcement particularly noteworthy.
“What an awful decision,” Parkins tweeted. “Dan has raised how much for your worthy cause? Literally over $1 million? Between on-air matches, awareness, emceeing, growing poker tourney etc. Actual tangible impact. And bc ‘comments on social media’ you drop him? This hurts your mission & helps no one.”+

Marshall Harris hosted the program on Monday with fellow 670 The Score personality Leila Rahimi.
