He landed in Dallas in 1984 for the night shift on 97.1 The Eagle. He moved to mornings but was let go when the station changed formats.

From there, he moved to 106.1 KISS-FM in Dallas. The “Kidd Kraddick Morning Show” was syndicated to 70 markets along with the Armed Forces Radio Network.

Kraddick was known for his charity work and founded Kidd’s Kids. He passed away in July 2013 at 53 while attending an annual fundraising fundraiser in Louisiana. His name lives on through the show that still bears his name—now hosted by J-Si, Kellie, Big Al, and Part-Time Justin.

Kraddick was posthumously inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2016.
