Earlier this week, Salem Radio Network announced it would transition affiliates taking The Dennis Prager Show to The Charlie Kirk Show. Kirk has shared his thoughts on the matter.
Beginning on Monday, March 31st, stations that had previously aired The Dennis Prager Show will be fed The Charlie Kirk Show. The situation comes after Prager was injured in a November fall that has left him paralyzed from the neck down. After some rehabilitation, he has regained several functions, including the ability to speak relatively clearly and normally which will allow him to return to the air.
Salem Radio Network has shared that Prager will return to the airwaves on Tuesday, June 3rd and will helm a one-hour show from 2-3 PM.
On social media, Charlie Kirk shared his appreciation to be tabbed as the sole host of the timeslot with Salem Radio Network.
“I’m incredibly humbled that The Charlie Kirk Show will officially be taking over my friend Dennis Prager’s 12-2pm ET time slot across Salem Radio Network as he continues his recovery,” Kirk wrote.
He added that he’s ecstatic over the recovery progress Prager has made in recent months.
“Dennis’s recovery has been nothing short of miraculous and I’m grateful the world will get more of Dennis’s wit, wisdom, and commentary in the very near future,” said Kirk. “America is a better place when Dennis Prager is behind the mic.”
Kirk and Prager have each been broadcasting their nationally syndicated shows in the 12-3 PM ET timeslot since Kirk’s program was added in 2020.
Until Prager is ready to return in June, current fill-in host Carl Jackson will helm the program until March 31st. After that, Jack Posobiec will host the 2-3 PM ET hour for Salem Radio Network.
