Bob Waters has been named Program Director and morning host at Red 102.3 Harrisburg, PA.
Previous host Rick Sten, known as “Rick On Red,” announced his retirement last month after 47 years in the business and 15 with Red 102.3.
The station announced the news on its Instagram.
“It’s official RED NATION!. With Rick On Red’s retirement, Bob Waters will be the new voice of the RED 102.3 morning show. Bob will assume the duties of program director as well. Bob is a long-time veteran of radio in Central Pa. and will be a wonderful addition to the RED NATION family. In fact, Bob has close ties to the Radio Carlisle family of stations in Carlisle. Bob worked for 6 years with WHLY Country 102.3 from 1992-1998. We wish Bob well in this new chapter in his radio career and we are excited to have Bob be a part of this wonderful radio community.”
Waters arrives from a dual on-air sales role at Pirate 95.3 in Nags Head, NC. It’s a return to the station, having previously served when it was in the Country format.
