Civic Media has announced a new lineup across its liberal news/talk network across the state of Wisconsin.

Beginning on Wednesday, April 23rd, Civic Media will move UpNorth News Radio — hosted by Pat Kreitlow — from its previous 6-8 AM timeslot to 6-9 AM with a new name, Mornings with Pat Kreitlow. The show will air on nine of the 11 stations owned by the company. The program will not air in Madison or Green Bay, as the already established shows in those markets will continue.

In middays, current hosts Jane Matenaer and Greg Bach will move from 10 AM to Noon to 9-11 AM to facilitate the addition of the nationally syndicated Thom Hartmann Show from 11 AM-2 PM.

The shows currently airing in that timeslot — The Todd Allbaugh Show and The Maggie Daun Show — will each move back two hours to 2-4 PM and 4-6 PM, respectively. With Daun moving to the 4-6 PM window, Dom Salvia exits the statewide network. He had previously hosted The Devil’s Advocates alongside the company’s co-founder, Mike Crute, until he departed last year. Salvia hosted the program solo until earlier this month.

The network’s evening program, hosted by Pete Schwaba, will continue to air from 6-8 PM.

“This exciting realignment of our weekday programming will bring a renewed local focus to the Civic NewsTalk network,” said the company’s Vice President of News/Talk Operations Kory Hartman.

“We are excited to bring a more robust and flexible morning show to the state, and to reposition our best shows to serve our uniquely Wisconsin audience,” added Civic Media CEO Sage Weil. “This new approach will provide the flexibility to spotlight our local voices that focus on what is happening in our local communities, from Earl Ingram in Milwaukee to Chad Holmes in Wausau, and to share that content both on and off the air.”
