All indicators suggest a change is coming to Nashville Country radio. Cumulus Media’s 95.5 WSM-FM has dropped the NASH Icon branding, and they are running promos with the unidentified voices of Big D & Bubba promoting “changes are coming.”
Big D & Bubba are currently on sister station 103.3 WKDF and were previously on in the market at iHeartMedia’s The Big 98 WSIX.
Country Aircheck first reported that WKDF afternoon host Tyler Reese will move to WSM-FM. Also, morning host Marty McFly, middays host Lisa Manning, and afternoon host Stew James are all out at WSM-FM.
McFly joined the station in 2014, Manning in 2011 and James in 2019.
No word on a timeline or the future of 103.3 WKDF.
