Nashville-based Triple Tigers Records is expanding its promotion department with a second team, Akando Music.
JC Coffey has been named Sr. Director of National Promotion for Akando, where he will lead the day-to-day operations. Overseeing the team is Raffaella Braun, Triple Tigers VP of Promotion and Kevin Herring, Co-President of Triple Tigers Records.
Herring commented, “With more and more artists vying for radio exposure, Akando will serve as a valuable resource, offering an option for artists without a Country radio promo team.”
Launched in 2016, Triple Tigers roster includes Scotty McCreery, Russell Dickerson, Ella Langley, Jordan Fletcher and Shane Profitt. The label has had 11 Number 1 singles at Country radio and over 25 RIAA certifications.
