Dennis Malloy has been a staple at New Jersey 101.5, spending more than 30 years with the station. But that run is set to end next month as he’ll exit.

On Wednesday, Malloy told his midday audience that when his contract expires next month, he’ll conclude his tenure with the Townsquare Media news/talk outlet.

Malloy had originally joined the station in November 1993. During his stay, he’s been teamed with co-hosts like Judi Franco and Michele Pilenza.

At the conclusion of his contract, Malloy will shift to a part-time role as a fill-in host for the station.

“After decades behind the mic, Dennis Malloy is stepping into a new chapter moving into a part-time role to enjoy more time with his family and travel,” a statement from New Jersey 101.5 read.

After his departure, Franco — who hosted with Malloy from 10 AM-2 PM — will continue in the daypart. It is unclear if she will have a co-host once Malloy exits.

To honor Dennis Malloy, New Jersey 101.5 has said it plans to throw a farewell roast in his honor.

Before joining the news/talk station, Malloy worked in Hartford, Philadelphia, and South Jersey.
