MSG Networks has tapped a familiar voice in New York sports to lead its television play-by-play coverage of the New Jersey Devils. Longtime ESPN New York Radio host Don La Greca has been named the new voice of the Devils ahead of the 2025–26 NHL season.
La Greca, a New Jersey native and seasoned broadcaster, will join Devils legend Ken Daneyko in the booth for all MSG Networks’ television coverage. The move marks a full-circle moment for La Greca, who grew up a Devils fan and has built a respected career in both radio and hockey broadcasting.
“To be the voice of the team that got me into hockey as a kid, a team that represents my home state with an incredible fan base, and to follow in the footsteps of some of the great play-by-play voices in the sport is an absolute dream come true,” said La Greca in a statement. “And to work with the legend Ken Daneyko makes it that much sweeter. I can’t wait for the season to start.”
La Greca has been a central figure on ESPN New York Radio since its inception in 2001. He began calling New York Rangers games on the MSG Radio Network in 2005 and has long been a trusted voice for hockey fans in the Tri-State area. Most recently, he’s co-hosted Don, Hahn & Rosenberg on ESPN New York, following a successful run on The Michael Kay Show.
MSG Networks President and CEO Andrea Greenberg praised the hire, saying, “Don’s top-notch play-by-play skills and his love for the Devils will endear him very quickly to Devils fans, many of whom know him from his presence as a cherished Tri-State area sports personality on ESPN New York Radio.”
The Devils’ new broadcast team debuts this fall as the organization looks to build on its recent momentum with a familiar and passionate voice guiding fans through the action. La Greca replaces the voice of Bill Spaulding, who served the last three seasons in the booth calling Devils games on MSG Networks.
A native of Hawthorne, New Jersey, La Greca resides in Somerset with his wife and two children.
