Trump Media & Technology Group — the company founded by President Donald Trump — has announced a new streaming platform called Truth+ that will include Newsmax to support its growing endeavors.
In a statement released on Monday, the company — which operates the Truth Social social media platform — shared that it had launched the Truth+ platform internationally.
Included in the Truth+ platform is international access to Newsmax, increasing the cable news network’s presence globally.
“We’re gratified by the fast introduction of Truth+ to international markets and look forward to completing the rollout across all devices and operating systems,” said Trump Media CEO and Chairman Devin Nunes. “I’d like to thank Newsmax in particular for partnering with Trump Media for this expansion, which will bring the network’s unique programming to major new markets.
“There is clearly a need globally for fresh perspectives on the great issues of our day, and we’re laying the groundwork to challenge the woke news monolith with hard-hitting, non-woke reporting and commentary.”
“Devin Nunes has done a remarkable job growing Truth Social and now Truth+ in the U.S., it’s only natural they would grow globally and we’re proud to partner with him and Trump Media on this expansion,” Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy added.
Trump Media began testing the platform late last month in advance of the global launch. Additionally, the news of Newsmax joining the Trump Media and Truth+ ecosystems comes after the network founded by Ruddy went public earlier this year on the New York Stock Exchange.
After the announcement of the partnership, Trump Media shares rose to just over $19 per share, while Newsmax had fallen slightly to just under $15 per share.
