RAB and MIW Wrap 17th Annual Rising Through the Ranks

The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) have completed the 17th annual Rising Through the Ranks program. The initiative began virtually on August 12 and concluded in person on August 19-21 at BMI’s Nashville offices.

Twenty-six women broadcasters were selected for the program, which focused on leadership, team culture, and work-life balance. Sessions emphasized practical skills for immediate application at their stations.

Speakers included Erica Farber, immediate past RAB CEO; Kim Johnson, RAB VP of professional development; MIW President Sheila Kirby; and Trisha Yearwood, alongside executives from Cox Media Group, Audacy, Seven Mountains Media, Xperi, and Salem Media Group.

“Over the last 17 years, we have seen more than 465 broadcasters graduate from Rising Through the Ranks and propel their careers, as well as their companies, with the knowledge and skills gained,” said RAB CEO Mike Hulvey.

Kirby added, “It’s an honor for MIW to be part of this program every year. We congratulate this year’s graduates and cannot wait to see and support their successes throughout their careers.”
