As Connoisseur Media expands with the acquisition of Alpha Media, the organization is setting its programming leaders and format captains.
The new leaders will report to Senior Vice President of Programming Keith Dakin, who was appointed to the role last week.
The new format leaders for Connoisseur Media are:
- Top 40: WDJX-FM (Louisville) OM/PD/Host Ben Davis
- Hot AC: WEZN-FM (Metro Fairfield) PD/Host Kevin Begley
- Urban/Rhythmic Top 40: Darrick “BROWN” Williams
- News/Talk: KXL-FM (Portland) OM/PD Ross MacLeod
- Country: Lincoln/Topeka OM Rob Kelley
- Rock: WPLR-FM PD Allan Lamberti
“These moves today will allow us to have a dedicated group of programmers that can work with our local markets, partners, vendors, and the record community on a one-to-one basis,” stated Keith Dakin, SVP of Programming.
“The idea here is that we will always have someone who can fix a problem, answer a question, and, most importantly, make a decision,” continued Dakin. “Radio, to stay relevant, needs to have empowered leaders that can make things happen fast. I believe today we have that team.”
The announcement of new format leaders for Connoisseur Media coincides with the company completing its merger with Alpha Media, giving it more than 200 stations in 47 U.S. markets.
