The NFL and TikTok have struck a new multi-year partnership. The deal broadens the league’s footprint on the platform starting this season.
What We Know: The agreement builds on several years of prior collaboration between the NFL and TikTok. TikTok GamePlan hubs, Pulse Premiere ads and Pro Events fan spaces will all expand under the new terms. NFL storytelling will also grow across the NFL’s league account and eight international team accounts. Meanwhile, NFL posts on TikTok climbed more than 32% over the past year.
What They Said: Brent Lawton, vice president of media strategy and business development at the NFL: “TikTok continues to be an important platform for fans to connect with the NFL in a variety of ways, from the action on the field to the broader culture and conversation around the sport. We look forward to continuing our partnership and creating new ways to engage NFL fans around the world.”
Rollo Goldstaub, TikTok’s global head of sport: “The NFL isn’t just a sport, it’s a year-round way of life where fandom thrives through gameday highlights, daily trends, and player personalities. By pairing the NFL’s thrilling moments with TikTok’s global reach, we’re helping the league unlock brand-new audiences while giving lifelong fans deeper access to the game. And with TikTok GamePlan, we’ve created a dedicated space that fuels discovery, transforms how football is experienced and drives tune-in throughout the season.”
What Remains Unclear: The NFL and TikTok did not disclose financial terms. Neither side specified an exact launch date for the new Pro Events fan hub, calling it only “coming weeks.”
What It Means: The partnership signals a deeper NFL push into short-form video. In addition, TikTok gains premium sports content that can fuel ad revenue and engagement. As a result, fans gain new interactive ways to follow the game beyond traditional broadcasts. Moreover, both companies are betting on culture-driven fandom to expand their global reach.
