Compass Media Networks is the new national audio home for the Pac-12’s biggest championship events. The multi-year deal covers the football title game and both basketball tournaments.
What We Know: The Pac-12 Conference and Playfly Sports announced the exclusive partnership today. Compass will produce, broadcast and market pregame, postgame and live play-by-play coverage. First, its slate opens December 4, 2026, with the Pac-12 Football Championship. Then, the men’s and women’s basketball tournament championship games follow on March 13, 2027, both in Las Vegas.
What They Said: Pac-12 Commissioner, Teresa Gould: “As we celebrate the Pac-12’s next chapter, we are excited to partner with Compass Media Networks and Playfly Sports to deliver high-quality audio broadcasts at a national scale for our championship games in football and men’s and women’s basketball. Fans across the country will have live play-by-play access to three of our premier events across all audio platforms.”

What Remains Unclear: The parties also kept the contract length and financial terms private. Moreover, the release doesn’t specify talent on the broadcasts as of yet.
What It Means: For the rebuilt Pac-12, expanded national radio reach adds credibility as it begins its next chapter. The league now features Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga (non-football), Oregon State, San Diego State, Texas State, Utah State and Washington State. Meanwhile, Compass adds another college property to its play-by-play portfolio. As a result, fans outside league markets gain a national way to follow three marquee events.
