ESPN is getting back into the late night talk show game. The company will launch new late night shows for both ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes on January 28.
Both shows are called Now or Never…well, they both mean “Now or Never”. The Spanish version of the show will be called Ahora o Nunca. Both will air at 2 am on the East Coast, meaning the shows are not only geared towards a younger audience, they may specifically be targeting the West Coast.
Steve Covino and Rich Davis of the radio show Covino & Rich, which airs on both SiriusXM and ESPN Radio will host Now or Never. ESPN Deportes VP and General Manager Freddie Rolón told The Big Lead that the duo’s approach to sports makes them the perfect fit for the show.
“We think they bring a slightly different voice in that more casual way, and a little bit of humor as well. You feel like you’re sitting with two friends.”
Ahora o Nunca will be hosted by Mauricio Pedroza, who was a contestant on ESPN Deportes’ Dream Job and former La Liga and MLS player Hercules Gomez. Actress Janelle Marie Rodriguez will appear on both shows.
