Less than a week after exiting the Boston Red Sox radio booth on WEEI, Tim Neverett has a new job that will take him across the country. The other team in the 2018 World Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers, announced on Twitter today that he will join their broadcast crew in a utility role.
Neverett will spend time on both television and the radio in 2019 for the Dodgers. He will handle TV duties on SportsNet LA when Joe Davis is away for national assignments. He will also cover radio play-by-play duties in place of Charley Steiner for several dates next season. Steiner will receive more days off in future seasons as part of the terms of the contract extension he signed with the Dodgers last week.
WEEI is yet to announce who will replace Neverett in Boston. Despite earlier reports, WEEI is not looking to make major format changes to those broadcasts. The station is accepting applications for the position.
