WRNL-AM in Richmond, VA is currently branded as Fox Sports 910. That will change on February 4. On that day the Entercom property will rebrand as 910 The Fan and add a new morning show.
The Sports Junkies from sister station 106.7 the Fan in Washington, DC will take over mornings. Current morning man Wes McElroy will move to afternoons. Entercom Virginia SVP and Market Manager Bennett Zier sys the Junkies’ “signature provocative and interesting take on sports” will perfectly compliment McElroy. It will also help create a more local sound for the station in a market that is crazy about the Redskins.
For his part, McElroy said that he doesn’t mind the time change. “After a dozen years on air in Virginia, this is home and there’s no other place I’d rather be.”
