Miami sports radio personality, Marc Hochman has no plans to leave anytime soon after Entercom announced a long-term contract extension with their 560 WQAM afternoon drive host.
“Marc Hochman is one of the pillars of 560 WQAM Sports Radio and we are thrilled that he will continue to entertain our listeners during the afternoon drive,” Keriann Worley, SVP and Market Manager, Entercom South Florida, said in a press release. “Marc has helped build a must-listen to program for devoted sports fans in the South Florida area and we look forward to continuing this partnership together.”
A Chicago native, Hochman has lived in Miami for more than three decades now. Hochman joined WQAM in 2014, coming from WAXY 790 The Ticket which was a rival sports radio station at the time. In 2015, former Miami Dolphin linebacker, Channing Crowder joined Hochman on WQAM’s afternoon show which is now called Hoch and Crowder.
While at The Ticket, Hochman served as executive producer of The Dan Le Batard Show before heading to QAM as a direct competitor. Shortly after Hochman’s departure from 790, Le Batard’s show moved to middays on ESPN Radio. WQAM and The Ticket are now sister stations after both were purchased by Entercom.
“I’m so fortunate to be able to continue doing this show with Channing Crowder and our super producer Erick Falero,” said Hochman. “The community we’ve built on the air is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever accomplished on radio.”
WQAM is the flagship radio station of the Miami Dolphins, Florida Panthers and University of Miami Hurricanes. Hoch and Crowderbroadcasts every weekday on the station from 2 – 6pm.
