Nate Kreckman’s new partner will be a familiar voice to Denver sports fans. Former Broncos sideline reporter and Orange and Blue 760 host Andy Lindahl took to Twitter on Friday to announce starting Monday he will partner with Kreckman in afternoon drive on Altitude Sports Radio.
Altitude Sports Radio acknowledged the news in a Tweet back to Lindahl.
Lindahl parted ways with iHeart’s Denver operation in February after a 20 year run in the building. This past season was his tenth and last as the sideline reporter with the Broncos.
“I’m extremely excited to be joining Altitude Sports Radio,” said Lindahl. It was excruciating not being on the radio the last three months, and I’m really excited to get a chance to work with Nate Kreckman, who I’ve known for a long time. Along with talking Broncos and Rockies, I look forward to talking about the Avalanche and Nuggets, as the Avs especially have been one of my favorite teams for a long, long time. I have so many longtime friends at this station including Vic Lombardi and Marc Moser, as well as Scott Hastings and Ryan Harris, so I am thrilled to get to work with all of them. Monday is a new chapter in my career, and I cannot wait to get started.”
The search for Kreckman’s partner was done methodically. It began in October when former partner Ryan Harris moved to mid days to join Josh Dover and Scott Hastings. The addition of Andy Lindahl completes a lineup full of names and voices familiar to the Denver market for Altitude Sports Radio.
“Andy brings an entertaining, knowledgeable and a recognizable Denver voice following over 20 years as a Denver radio host that includes a decade as the sideline reporter and pregame and postgame host with the Broncos Radio Network” added program director Dave Tepper. “After months of searching in and out of Denver and considering some very talented hosts, we’re thrilled to add Andy to our lineup feeling he was the best fit for Nate and the overall direction of Altitude Sports Radio 92.5!”
