One of SB Nation’s premier college football writers is on his way out. On the most recent episode of Podcast Ain’t Played Nobody, Bill Connelly announced that this would be his final week with SB Nation. He said he could not reveal his future plans at this time, but they will be announced soon. Connelly also released the news on Twitter.
Connelly is best known as the inventor of the S&P+ analytics system, which he uses to present a more accurate picture of who the best teams in college football are. Since joining SB Nation, Connelly has used the system every off season to rank every team in FBS college football and written an extensive preview for each individual team.
Prior to joining SB Nation’s college football staff, he ran Rock M Nation, SB Nation’s blog dedicated to University of Missouri sports. He also wrote for Football Outsiders and Football Study Hall and contributed freelance pieces to the Wall Street Journal.
