Dave Logan Signs 10-Year Extension With KOA

Dave Logan has some serious job security. The play-by-play voice of the Denver Broncos and Newsradio 850 KOA host has just signed a ten-year contract extension with iHeart Media Denver.

In addition to his duties with the Broncos, Logan is the co-host of Logan and Lewis on Newsradio 850 KOA. The show had been airing in afternoons, but will move to the 9am – noon slot starting next month. That move paves the way for Broncos Country Tonight to move into the station’s 4 – 7pm slot. KOA’s lineup changes are the result of iHeart Denver launching conservative talker Freedom 93.7, which will be the new home of Rush Limbaugh in the Denver market.

Logan was a wide receiver at the University of Colorado in the 70s. He was drafted by the Browns in the third round of the 1976 NFL Draft. He spent eight seasons in Cleveland and one with the Broncos in his pro career.

2019 will be the Denver Broncos’ 50th season on KOA. Dave Logan has been with the station for 30 years. He has served as the play-by-play voice of the Broncos for the last 23 seasons.

“I’m honored and frankly humbled that iHeart Media is allowing me to continue my career with KOA,” Logan said in a press release. “The Denver airwaves feel so comfortable and familiar to me. KOA has been home to me for a long time and will remain my home for many more years to come.”

  1. It’s a new day at KOA!!!!!! So happy Dave Logan is replacing Rush on KOA, I only listen to programs that believe in talking about facts. Now, you need to replace Mandy Connell.
