Sports Illustrated Plotting Chris Mannix Podcast Tour

Chris Mannix’s The Crossover podcast is hitting the road for a short tour next month. It could serve as a testing ground for something on a larger scale, but the first road show will only have four stops in the Northeast.

Mannix told The Big Lead that his live shows will be topic driven and feature panel discussions with local NBA writers from the cities he visits. He will also sprinkle in some national guests. The Big Lead reports that Mannix is trying to lineup a headliner guest for each show and that “he is working with teams to get players, general managers, and coaches involved.”

The goal is to keep the audience to around 100 people. That way the shows can include a more natural discussion with the audience. Mannix has suggested tickets will be between $10-15.

“I’m going to be hosting this event, but the only time I want to sound like a host is when I’m transitioning between topics,” Mannix told The Big Lead’s Bobby Burack. “I want the voices of the fans to be heard. The back-and-forth conversation is key.”

The tour schedule is as follows:

October 2 – The Harp in Boston

October 3 – The Draft House in Washington, DC

October 4 – The 40/40 Club inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn

October 7 – The Improv Theater in Philadelphia
