NBC Offers ND Football Digital Access Over Seas

Notre Dame football is one of the most iconic brands in American sports. The team’s history and ties to the Catholic Church have resulted in fans spread around the globe. The school’s TV partner, NBC is looking to capitalize on that with a new digital product.

The Notre Dame Football Season Pass will offer fans in select international market live and on demand access to all seven Notre Dame home games this season. The Pass is available through the NBC Sports Gold app and is priced at $49.99. It will not be available to fans in the US.

The Fighting Irish will open their 29th season on NBC this weekend with a visit from the New Mexico Lobos. The 2019 home schedule isn’t overly appealing. Outside of Virginia and USC, NBC doesn’t have TV rights to matchups between the Irish and any other top 25 teams.

With that in mind, fans in Austria, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland may want to opt for the $9.99 per game pricing option to watch the team on the NBC Sports Gold app.
