Brian London Exits 790 The Ticket

In August, 790 The Ticket and WQAM made major changes to their weekday programming lineups, changing the view of each brand. One of those moves included shifting Brendan Tobin, Leroy Hoard and Brian ‘The Beast’ London from middays to mornings. Now, just three and a half months after installing the trio in mornings, The Ticket has cut ties with London.

In addition to being a part of The Ticket’s morning show, London also served as the Assistant Program Director. He spent the past seven years working for The Ticket, and spent ten years previously working for WQAM. London’s social media post states that he was told the company eliminated his position. No word yet on if this is the only move or if there are others to follow.

Since taking control of both The Ticket and WQAM, Entercom have cut ties with a number of local personalities. With a bunch of familiar faces free to host shows in the market, it could present an opportunity for a current brand to increase its commitment to local sports radio programming or serve as motivation for another group to consider entering the South Florida sports talk space. Whether or not that will happen though remains to be seen.

  1. Don’t like seeing anyone canned out of the blue, but he was awful on the radio. That morning show was unlistenable. Get woke….go broke.

  2. Beast shouldve stayed off air… his on-air was terrible. He overextended trying to be the next Mike Ryan and shouldve stayed in the shadows collecting $.

    • Agreed….He wanted so bad to be LeBatard with his left-wing political BS. He was dreadful on the air…a weekend afternoon host at best.

    • Agree….Tobin was ok, but generic and not ready to carry the show. LeRoy is boring and has a racist chip on his shoulder. Made me tune out immediately. Sounded like a weekend show just killing time.
