Brad Willis Exits 104.5 the Zone

2019 may be over, but the PD shuffle is not. Barrett Sports Media has learned that Brad Willis is exiting as Program Director of 104.5 The Zone in Nashville. Willis’ final day with the station will be Friday January 17th.

Under his leadership, 104.5 The Zone became one of the strongest mid-market sports radio stations in the country. The Cumulus station routinely pulled large ratings with all three of its local shows. Willis was also in charge of the Tennessee Titans Radio Network.

Cumulus Nashville Market Manager Allison Warren thanked Willis for his 12 years of service in an internal memo distributed to her local staff. She praised his leadership and the station’s ascension to the #1 position under his watch. Though she’s sad to see The Zone’s longtime PD exit, Warren reminded her team that The Zone has become one of the premier sports brands in one of the most desirable and hottest cities in the country, and she’s confident the station will find a dynamic leader to guide the brand to a prosperous future. Willis leaves the radio station on great terms. His exit is due to accepting a position outside of the industry as the new Chief Advancement and Operations Officer for the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. We congratulate him on a great run with The Zone and wish him well in his new position.
