Running List of iHeart Employees Laid Off This Week

Like so many in the industry, Barrett Sports Media is keeping an eye on the news out of iHeartMedia stations around the country today. Hundreds of employees are expected to be laid off from the company. We intend to keep a running list of names and contact info (if provided) in hopes that it helps them all find future employment.

If you or someone you know was effected by the layoffs, reach out to Jason at JBarrett@SportsRadioPD.com.

  1. The day the music died on KGBX 105.9 with the cancellation of the Kevin& Liz Morning Show. There goes 75% plus of your listeners KGBX. Sometimes community means more than projected ratings( theirs was great) and the almighty dollar.
You can take away our friends on the air but we can change the channel. Maybe They ought to change their name to NoHeart.

  2. The company email mentions the importance of community, the joke is there isnt anyone left to do anything locally in the community, its all one national host with zero regard to the community the station serves now

  3. No local flavor, lousy playlists consisting of the same 20 songs over and over and over…
The two classic rock conglomerates — uh stations, you never hear The Beatles, Hendrix, only hear one or two Who or Pink Floyd songs…but plenty of Billy Joel (wtf? Classic rock?)
Radio has been ruined by the suits and bean counters

  4. iiHeart Radio quit trying to control what I listen to. This is the USA. We are a democratic free country & have rights of free speech. You have no right to control what I listen to, remove the local broadcasting I’m interested in. Is this another attempt of a Putin takeover of our government, elections & lives?
