After a little over three years in Bristol, Jac Collinsworth has decided to return to NBC. That is according to a report from Bobby Burack and Ryan Glasspiegal at The Big Lead.
Collinsworth has been at ESPN since 2017. He has contributed to the network’s NFL coverage, providing features to Sunday NFL Countdown and hosting some episodes of NFL Live. He has also anchored studio shows for the ACC Network since its launch last year.
Prior to leaving for ESPN, Collinsworth spent four years at NBC. He was a sideline reporter for the network’s Notre Dame football broadcasts. He also contributed to Olympics coverage in Rio in 2016.
His new role remains a mystery. The Big Lead reports that it reached out to Collinsworth for comment. He did not return the call. Jac is the son of Sunday Night Football analyst Cris Collinsworth. Given Jac’s NFL broadcasting experience, it seems likely he will be used as part of NBC’s Sunday night broadcast.
