ESPN Radio shows are continuing to broadcast during the national coronavirus outbreak. ESPNEWS is still carrying the simulcast of the radio shows, but there is no video to accompany any of them.
Both Golic & Wingo and The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz originated from remote locations. A show logo and a Progressive Insurance logo appeared on screen while audio of Mike Golic and Trey Wingo originated from Golic’s basement for the morning show.
The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz was a much more complex affair. Le Batard and executive producer Mike Ryan were in Le Batard’s home. Stugotz was in his home. Producer Billy Gil connected with the show by phone. Efforts to connect with Chris Cote and Roy Bellamy were made throughout the show.
The NFL was a primary topic. Both shows delved into the new collective bargaining agreement and plans for the upcoming draft. ESPN’s Chris Mortenson was also a guest for both shows.
Dan Le Batard’s TV show Highly Questionable is on hiatus during the coronavirus outbreak, as is most of ESPN’s afternoon programming.
