Marty Smith and Ryan McGee will be back on the SEC Network on Saturday mornings. The show won’t be done from the from the duo’s regular set at SEC Network headquarters in Charlotte. Instead, the show will comeback with audio only.
Marty & McGee has been off the air for three weeks as the SEC Network adjusted to the new realities of American life created by the Covid-19 pandemic. When the show returns on April 4, it will run from 7-10 am Eastern. SEC Network viewers will see a title card featuring the hosts’ image on the screen. The network is currently airing The Paul Finebaum Show in the same format.
The SEC Network has found ways to continue creating original content while practicing social distancing. Much of it is premiering online on SECNetwork.com and on the SEC Network’s Twitter and Facebook pages.
“It was important for us to find innovative ways to continue to connect with our audience while we wait for sports to return,” ESPN vice president of programming & acquisitions, Chris Turner, said in a press release. “Between the TV return of The Paul Finebaum Show and Marty & McGee, the programming stunts currently airing on SEC Network and the creative content offerings available on our social and digital platforms, there’s still no better place for SEC fans to feel at home than SEC Network.”
Will be really really happy when both Marty & McGee and Paul Findbomb will be back .
