Shortly after departing ESPN for FOX Sports, play-by-play voice and rising star Adam Amin is adding the Chicago Bulls TV gig to his plate. According to Andrew Marchand of The New York Post, Amin will take over as the Bulls television play-by-play voice next NBA season in addition to his FOX Sports gig.
Amin replaces longtime voice of the Bulls, Neil Funk who announced last October that 2019-20 would be his 28th and final season with the team. Funk reduced his road schedule with the Bulls this season and a variety of announcers stepped in as substitutes on NBC Sports Chicago, Amin being among them. Amin filled in for Funk in a handful of games during the last two seasons, while continuing to establish himself as an elite broadcaster with ESPN.
Joining ESPN in 2011 at the age of 24, Amin quickly climbed the ladder, working college football, basketball, the NBA and MLB games. Last month, it was reported the play-by-play voice was departing The Worldwide Leader, which he recently confirmed on Twitter.
Once leagues begin returning from the pandemic-induced hiatus, Amin will have two prominent gigs for the 2020-21 seasons in FOX Sports and the Chicago Bulls. A Chicago native, Amin grew up a Bulls fan, experiencing their dynasty to the tune of his predecessor Neil Funk.
