At first glance it might seem like an odd pairing, but the Pardon My Take take over of Kentucky Sports Radio is almost an annual event. Wednesday, June 10, Big Cat and PFT Commenter are again behind the mic for KSR’s full two-hour show, filling in for Matt Jones.
Jones, the host and founder of Kentucky Sports Radio, is in the middle of his second and final week of furlough from iHeartMedia as part of COVID-19 caused spending reductions. Typically, KSR contributors Ryan Lemond, Drew Franklin and Shannon the Dude take over when Jones is out, but every so often Big Cat and PFT Commenter step in. Jones and the Pardon My Take hosts must have exchanged numbers years ago and they’ve since been featured on each other’s shows multiple times.
I’m not sure how much Bartsool’s Big Cat and PFT Commenter keep an eye on Kentucky sports, but thanks to the sports scene being quiet for three months, it doesn’t really matter. Even though KSR’s following is regional, the audience is still uniquely entertained by the popular Pardon My Take hosts when they fill in.
