Lou Williams’s visit to the Atlanta strip club known as Magic City has been one of the funniest and most talked about stories surrounding the NBA bubble. The dinner will result in Williams having to spend ten extra days in quarantine before joining his Clippers teammates. It means the team’s third leading scorer will miss Thursday’s season restart.
Magic City though has taken full advantage of the story. Photos of the strip club’s food have been floating around online. A common reaction seems to be sympathy and understanding for Williams’s decision.
Kevin Harlan got in on the fun Tuesday night. While calling an exhibition game between the Boston Celtics and the Houston Rockets, the TNT play-by-play man wondered if it would be possible for him to get some wings from the club sent to him inside the Walt Disney World bubble.
The logistics are not easy to figure out. They are fun to speculate on though. Would the club send frozen wings and a recipe to Disney chefs? Would they send a dancer and a chef 500 miles south from Atlanta to deliver the wings to Harlan in person?
Reggie Miller, Harlan’s TV partner, is apparently happy with Harlan’s idea. “We can celebrate the restart with those wings,” he responded.
