FOX Sports Radio announced the launch of their Basketball Bracket Challenge. With COVID-19 cancelling more than three months of sporting events including the NCAA Basketball Tournament, sports fans were left deprived of filling out a March Madness bracket.
Throughout the shutdown, sports media brands attempted countless brackets to help get fans their fix, but they were all missing one key component – real games. With playoff basketball set to tip off next week, FOX Sports Radio will help fans recapture the bracket fun.
Beginning Friday Aug. 14, listeners will be able to fill out their playoff bracket after the final scheduled regular-season game between the 76ers and Rockets. Competing in the bracket challenge will be FOX Sports Radio’s roster of talent including Colin Cowherd, Clay Travis, Doug Gottlieb, Chris Broussard, Rob Parker, R.J. Bell, Jason Smith, Mike Harmon and Ben Maller. The audience will vie against each other and the FSR talent for the chance to win a Westinghouse 50” Roku TV.
“We all have bracket envy since the tournament was robbed from us in March,” said Scott Shapiro, FOX Sports Radio Vice President of Sports Programming. “So we thought why not give sports fans what they want – a way to compete against our hosts and fellow listeners in a basketball bracket!”
Following the conclusion of the final regular-season NBA game, listeners will be able to visit FOXSportsRadio.com to fill out their bracket, powered by Aptivada. Submissions must be made prior to the start of the first playoff game, Monday, Aug. 17 at 12:59pm ET.
