Entercom has announced changes to its regional management structure to further help local markets in their quest to elevate performance. The moves were revealed today in an internal memo from Susan Larkin, Entercom’s Chief Operating Officer.
The changes involve a number of high ranking company executives. The names listed below will have regional oversight of the cities listed next to their names. Some will also continue to fulfill Market Manager duties, some will focus entirely on helping the cities under their watch.
• Doug Abernethy – Atlanta, Charlotte, Denver, Greensboro, Greenville-Spartanburg, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Norfolk, Phoenix, Portland, Richmond, Sacramento, St. Louis, San Francisco, Seattle, Wichita
• Jeff Federman – Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego
• Mark Hannon – Baltimore, Boston, Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit, Hartford, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Providence, Rochester, Springfield, Washington D.C., Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
• Claudia Menegus – Gainesville, Memphis, Miami, Orlando
• Brian Purdy – Austin, Chattanooga, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans,
• Rachel Williamson – Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis
The changes mean that Doug Abernethy’s responsibilities are increasing, Claudia Menegus earns a well deserved promotion, and Mark Hannon will exit his position as Market Manager of Entercom Boston to become more involved on the corporate level. This means a new GM will be added in Boston where WEEI is looking to regain its footing.
Larkin stressed focused leadership being the key to the company’s future success in the memo. To emphasize that she’s reducing the load for CRO Bob Phillips, President of Sales Operations Michael Doyle, and Senior Vice President and Market Manager of Entercom Kansas City, Dave Alpert so they can fully focus on their primary responsibilities. She added that she’ll continue to have regional oversight of Entercom New York where Chris Oliviero serves as Market Manager.
