President Donald Trump’s former attorney, who was sent to prison after being convicted of tax crimes, campaign finance violations, and lying to Congress, is launching a new podcast that will feature a surprise first guest.
Michael Cohen’s podcast drops on Monday and will be called “Mea Culpa.”
Cohen’s guest will be comedian and talk show host Rosie O’Donnell who’s been at odds with Trump for years after he used disparaging terms about her in 2015.
Cohen and O’Donnell formed a friendship when he turned against Donald Trump.
“First episode. First interview. First feud. First family,” Cohen told The Associated Press by phone late week.
Cohen said his podcast came together following the release of his memoir, “Disloyal: The True Story of the Former Personal Attorney to President Donald J. Trump.”
O’Donnell wrote Cohen a lengthy letter while he was serving time in prison and even came to visit him. Cohen was released early because of the coronavirus.
Cohen refuted speculation that he’s trying to cash in on his experience with the President.
The podcast is being co-produced by Audio Up Media and Meidas Touch, an anti-Trump political action committee.
