Elizabeth Woolsey has sat at the WDRB news desk in Louisville, Ky. for 22 years. That run will all come to an end as she’s stepping down from her position to spend time with family.
Woolsey addressed the viewers of her decision to step away. She’s sighting her two children starting middle school while the coronavirus pandemic remains a presence in everyday life.
The WDRB news anchor also added that during the quarantine period, where many adults had to work from home, she began to ponder of taking a break from her career.
After years of balancing work and life, all she wants to do now is be a mom, stating that she only has a few years of her boys at home before they ultimately head off to college. Plenty of thank yous to the viewers and colleagues were in order Woolsey made her announcement.
Friday will be her last day at WDRB.
