OAN CEO Robert Herring Lashes Out on Social Media at Top Anchor Quitting

On Monday, just days after Liz Wheeler announced that she was leaving the network for another job, Herring took to Twitter to remind people that when OAN hired her she was a novice.

“When we let Liz take over for Tomi Lahren she had no experience,” Herring Tweeted. “Even though our other talk shows consistently outperformed her ratings, she carved out a dedicated but small following.”

Herring deleted his post only to repost a different Tweet with Wheeler’s resignation letter attached to it.

“I am very proud of what I’ve accomplished at OAN, over the past five years,” the letter read. “Building tipping point with Liz Wheeler” into a top-rated show on the network with over 2,000 episodes aired, and I am grateful for the platform you provided to do so.”

Herring’s snarky Tweet reminded people that Wheeler hosted about 1,200 shows contradicting her claims that the network aired 2,000 episodes of the “Tipping Point With Liz Wheeler.”
