It was reported last week that ESPN would sign Vince Carter to join its roster of NBA analysts. On Thursday, the company confirmed the news and defined the eight-time All Star’s role at the network.
There was debate about whether ESPN would use Carter in the studio or as a game analyst. Turns out the answer is both. On top of that, he will appear on both NBA and college basketball coverage.
Carter will make appearances on NBA Countdown, The Jump, Get Up, First Take and SportsCenter. He will also show up on College GameDay for select matchups. The North Carolina grad’s game assignments will include calling both NBA and ACC basketball games.
It didn’t take long for Carter to find work. He retired this year after a 22-year career in the NBA. He made his debut with ESPN earlier this week on an episode of The Jump.
