President Trump Threatens to Release 60 Minutes Interview Early

President Donald Trump was not happy with how CBS Newsanchor Lesley Stahl handled his 60 Minutes interview. Trump reportedly walked out of the interview and later tweeted that he is considering releasing the interview prior to it airing on Sunday.

“This will be done so that everybody can get a glimpse of what a FAKE and BIASED interview is all about. Everyone should compare this terrible Electoral Intrusion with the recent interviews of Sleepy Joe Biden!” the president tweeted.

Trump said Stahl was not wearing a mask in the White House, a claim that Stahl and CBS dispute. She said she removed her mask and socially distanced herself just before the interview began.

The president’s campaign disputed the report that he left early. “Very fake news! No drama, interview was not ended abruptly,” tweeted Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller. Maybe we need to put the whole thing out so people can see for themselves?”

Stahl interviewed the president for his first television interview as president-elect in 2016 and again in 2018.

Presidential nominee Joe Biden and his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris were also interviewed by 60 Minutes. Their interview will air on Sunday night as well.
