Political commentator Keith Olbermann said President Trump continues to mis-manage “his own coup” following remarks at an impromptu press conference at the White House Thursday. Olbermann left ESPN to start his own political show on YouTube.
“Trump must be removed and arrested, tonight,” Olbermann said. “Gripped by a paranoid delusion, threatening the nation’s safety, this can’t wait any longer. It won’t happen; in fact, he’ll probably concede and instantly announce he’s running in 2024.”
Olbermann was laid off at ESPN several times, twice leaving to host political shows at MSNBC. He launched his show called The Worst Person in the World specifically to run during election season.
“The bad news is I think the lame duck president is pivoting to Trump 2024.” Olbermann speculated that Trump would concede the election only to announce a subsequent campaign for the next presidential election in four years.
“Trump can still live in a version of the bubble that he and the 69 million morons who voted for him have lived in since 2015,” Olbermann said. “Inside Trump world, it’s fun, it’s exciting, and there’s no pandemic.”
Early Friday, Joe Biden overtook Trump in the number of ballots counted in Pennsylvania, which Trump must win to have a shot at reelection.
