CNN’S Anderson Cooper apologized for remarks that he made about President Trump last Thursday. Cooper said Trump was like an “obese turtle on his back, flailing in the hot sun.”
Cooper’s comment came after President Trump claimed that he was re-elected by “historic numbers” based on legal votes. “I have already decisively won many critical states, including massive victories in Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, to name just a few,” said Trump “We won these and many other victories despite historic election interference from big media, big money, and big tech.”
Saturday, former vice president Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris earned enough electoral votes to win the presidency. Anderson offered an apology to his turtle remarks during an interview with former presidential candidate Andrew Yang.
“I regret using those words because that is not the person I really want to be. It was in the heat of the moment, and I regret it.” Anderson added that he could not be any happier with the way the election turned out.
