Sports Hosts Listed Among Favorites To Take Over Jeopardy

The election, Covid-19, and who will be the next host of Jeopardy!. Those are the topics that have America captivated at the moment and oddsmakers have taken notice.

Multiple names have been thrown around to host the syndicated game show after the death of Alex Trebek. Adam Burns, who runs the sports book at SportsBetting.ag has posted odds on who will get the job. Ken Jennings, who set records as the highest winning contestant in game show history, is the even money favorite to land the job, but Burns has plenty of names from the sports world listed amongst the long shots.

The sports broadcaster with the best odds to land the job is Alex Faust at 18/1. Trebek mentioned the Los Angeles Kings broadcaster as a potential replacement during an interview with TMZ in 2018.

ESPN’s Mina Kimes is on the list as well. The NFL analyst and reporter is given 22/1 odds. FOX NFL sideline reporter Erin Andrews is listed at 50/1 odds. She has experience as a game show host, working on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. Both NBC’s Al Michaels and the UFC’s Joe Rogan are listed amongst a group with 66/1 odds.

George Stephanopoulos of ABC News and Good Morning America was mentioned earlier this week as a potential front runner to take over Jeopardy!. Burns lists him with 7/2 odds.

One of Burns’s more outrageous suggestions is Donald Trump. The 45th President of the United States has 1000/1 odds to fill Alex Trebek’s shoes.
