Kansas radio host Tyler Jones has accepted an offer to help launch a 24/7 national news network based in Nebraska. He made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday.
“This means I will be leaving Great Plains Media and the KLWN Morning Show after six years,” he said. “I am truly grateful for this dream job opportunity.”
Jones joined KLWN Lawrence in August of 2014 and ESPN Kansas City in August 2017.
He started The Jones Report podcast at the age of 15. The show is currently in its seventh season. “For every person who helped me, believed in me and was there each step of the way, thank you for everything,” said Jones.
Jones will begin his new gig on January 4. The network is scheduled to launch on January 20. “The new network will consist of the 100 + Gray Television Stations around the country and will have resources as well.”
